To Kill a Mockingbird Reflection
In this project we were to read the book To kill a Mockingbird and than write a play that brings out the theme of To Kill a Mockingbird. In this project we were all collaborating with each other. Collaborating with each other is when you work with others. In this project we all collaborated together to get to our goal. We worked together to write out the scene than acted it out in front of teachers and families. Because of collaboration we were all on the same pace and everyone know what going on around. In this project, I learn to collaborate even more. In the past I have only work collaborate with 2-3 people and now that I have worked with more than 10 people my collaboration experience changed. I learn that collaborating is not an easy thing. For example, when we first rehearsed the play we weren't that good but as we collaborated with each other and rehears more we got better. We also worked with each other on making our background and pros. It was finish in just a couple of days since we all worked on it together to get it done even when some of us are rehearsing. During, our play we communicated with each other on back stage even thought it was difficult because we had to kept quit. Like during back stage when we were going to do our bow, some of us forgot and the other reminded us. With my experience in this project I'm going to apply what I learned to my next projects in the future. I'm going to work and communicate with my group members like how I did in this project.
This picture show my classmates and I collaborating with each other in our TKM play.
Fahrenheit 451 Reflection
In the Fahrenheit 451 project, we were asked by John Smith the Opinion Editor of Teen Ink to write an opinion article about media control. The article was to demonstrate to what degree the modern media is controlling society and shaping people's views and their understanding of the world. In this project, I became a better writer. Written proficiency is your abilities to express yourself clearly to various audiences in multiple genres and subject through your ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conversation. We read Fahrenheit 451 and then we wrote a persuasive essay. I learned to use Pathos (appealing the reader's emotions), Ethos (convincing readers base on the character of the author), and Logos (using reasoning, facts and logic) arguments in my persuasive essay to persuasive different groups of people about how media is controlling us.
